Trustee Hector Perez is going around educating our members on the benefits of the IAM and one of those benefits is Guide Dogs of America/Tender Loving Canines. With the assistance of the Community Service committee, they will be posting flyers throughout the airport showing our members on this wonderful benefit IAM members can have.
Many of our members do not know what this benefit entails so here it is:
- Guide Dogs for the visually impaired
- Legally blind, must be at least 18 years of age
- Service Dogs for Veterans
- PTSD – Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- TBI – Traumatic Brain Injury
- Mobility limiting disability
- Service Dogs for children with Autism
- Children between the ages of 6-16 that have been diagnosed with Autism
- Service Dogs for Facility
- Medical Facilities/rehabilitation facilities
- Courtrooms/Government facilities
- Schools/learning facilities
